Welcome to Illinois State University's strategic plan, Educating Illinois, web site. Educating Illinois 2008-2014: Priorities for Illinois' First Public University advances the Board of Trustees vision for the University and builds upon the institution's heritage and recent accomplishments. Educating Illinois 2008-2014 was endorsed by each of the University governance groups in spring 2008. The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University endorsed the plan in May 2008.
Educating Illinois incorporates the University's mission, vision, and core values (pursuit of learning and scholarship, individualized attention, public opportunity, diversity, and civic engagement). Educating Illinois guides the University in its daily operations and provides a roadmap to the future.
The University began the process of revising the plan, as charged by the President during his September 2011 State of the University Address, in fall 2011. For more information, please visit the Plan Revision Process page.
